Our Vision
We believe that Data Centres need to be designed based on core engineering principles, by professionals with an in depth knowledge of Data Centre operations and applications.
The founding directors of CDS Engineering have all been practicing engineers, with a combined Data Centre Engineering experience of more than 50 man-years. They believe that Data Centres need to be designed based on core engineering principles, by professionals with an in depth knowledge of Data Centre operations and applications.

CDS Engineering believes that the next generation of Data Centres need to be designed based on the following core pillars of our corporate vision:
- Data Centres design need to be done by expert design firms based on core engineering principles and calculations, culminating in detailed specifications, drawings and bill of materials. Commercial /residential buildings are routinely designed by professional firms, even if they are not as critical as a Data Centre.
- The core engineering disciplines in a Data Centres are electrical, mechanical, networking, and civil engineering. As a minimum, they need to be designed by professional firms who have intimate knowledge of “cause and effect” in each discipline, resulting in huge benefits/ savings for the customer.
- Data Centre Design & Project Control Activities need to be performed by independent parties in order to avoid potential “conflict of interests”.
- Data Centre Design & Project Control firms need to be vendor-neutral.
- A holistic approach to Data Centre design needs to be taken for optimizing the design, and analysing the impact of one discipline over the others.
- “Best Practices” advocated by various groups and entities need to be scrutinized and tailored, for each Data Centre project for their validity and effectiveness.
